Who we are

About Plainly Her

Two things are worth separating before you read anything else on this site: who runs it, and who checks the medicine on it. They are not the same people, on purpose.

Plainly Her exists because most women arrive at this stage of life having ruled themselves out of it. They think they are too young for it to apply to them, so they look up one symptom at a time and never see the pattern. This site starts with what she is actually noticing rather than with a word she is not sure applies to her.

Everything clinical here is reviewed by a named practitioner and carries the date it was checked. The founders below do not do that review, and none of them decides what the evidence says. How we review sets out the process, our reviewers names the people who do it, and corrections is where we publish it when we get something wrong.

Founder

Kibwe McGann

Kingston, Jamaica

Kibwe McGann is the founder of Plainly Her. He built the platform around a single finding: most women in this stage of life rule themselves out of it, because they believe they are too young for it to apply to them.

Plainly Her is his own venture, funded and run independently.

Cofounder

Cathy Goodall-Jackson, PhD

Denver, Colorado, and Jamaica

Cathy Goodall-Jackson is a cofounder of Plainly Her. She is a life coach, a lecturer and the author of Girl, God’s Not Done and its companion devotional, two books about self-worth, boundaries and the distance between how a woman sees herself and how she has been taught to see herself.

She spent more than twenty years as a marketing executive across the Caribbean and Latin America. She built the trade marketing division at Pepsi Jamaica from nothing, went on to serve as Chief Marketing Officer at Lasco Distributors and as Chief Marketing Consultant at CaribShopper, and now sits on the board of Blue Power Group.

She lectures at Metropolitan State University of Denver and teaches at Northeast Early College. She is a certified John Maxwell coach, trainer and speaker, a Justice of the Peace, and a cofounder of Ready To Emerge and REDEFINE Business Services. She holds an MBA and a BA in Sociology and Anthropology.

She is here because the work she has done for a decade, helping women get clear about what is actually happening and what to do about it, is the same work this site does about a stage of life almost nobody was prepared for.
