The rules

Terms

The important one first: this site provides health information. It does not provide a diagnosis, and nothing here replaces a consultation with someone who can examine you and knows your history.

These are working terms, not lawyer-reviewed terms. A finished set is required before the site takes real users, and it is listed in the launch checklist.

What this site is

Health information about perimenopause, menopause and midlife health, reviewed by named clinicians and dated. Every clinical page shows who checked it and when.

What it is not

  • It is not a diagnosis. The assessment scores what you tell it. It cannot examine you, order a test, or rule anything out.
  • It is not a substitute for medical care, and it is not an emergency service.
  • The assistant is not a clinician. It answers from our reviewed pages and declines when it does not have one.

In an emergency

If you have chest pain, a sudden severe headache, one-sided weakness or difficulty speaking, heavy bleeding, or any bleeding after twelve months without a period, seek urgent care rather than reading further. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself: 988 in the United States, (888) 639-5433 in Jamaica, 800-COPE in Trinidad and Tobago.

Consultations

Consultations are provided by independent clinicians licensed in the jurisdiction where you are located. They are responsible for the clinical care they provide. We arrange the introduction and the scheduling. Payment is taken in US dollars at booking, no insurance is billed, and we take no margin on any medication.
