Privacy
The short version: we designed this so that we do not hold a record of your symptoms attached to your name. Not because we promise to be careful with one, but because we do not create one.
The assessment
Your answers stay in your browser. They are not sent to us and they are not stored on a server. When you finish, we record that an assessment was completed, the band, and which domain scored highest. Not your individual answers, and not tied to you.
The assistant
What you type is sent to our server, checked against a safety filter, matched against our own reviewed pages, and where a language model is configured, passed to that provider to compose an answer grounded on those pages. It is not stored, not logged and not written to a database. We count questions asked. We do not keep what was asked.
If you give us your address it goes to our email provider and nowhere else. We keep no separate list of our own. The only thing stored alongside it is a broad interest tag, such as "sleep" or "heat", so the emails are relevant. Never a score, never an answer, never a symptom tied to your identity. You can leave at any time from the link in any email.
Analytics
Cookieless page-view analytics and a small set of named events: an assessment started, an assessment completed, a link to a shop clicked. Event names and counts only.
There is no Google Analytics on this site and no advertising pixel of any kind, anywhere. This is deliberate and structural. The FTC has penalised GoodRx, BetterHelp and Cerebral for firing advertising pixels on pages that revealed a person's health status, and every page here reveals health status. Running two analytics stacks and relying on page-classification discipline to keep them apart is how those companies got into trouble, so we do not run two.
Consultations
If you book a consultation, the booking and payment are handled by our scheduling and payment providers. Your clinical history is taken by your clinician, in their own system, under their own obligations. We are the front door, not the clinic, and we do not receive your clinical record.
Affiliate links
Links to shops carry a code identifying us as the referrer so we are credited for a sale. The shop can see that you arrived from here. It cannot see what you read, what you answered, or anything you typed.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. In practice, for most people, the answer to the first question is an email address and an interest tag.
